Tourism restarts in Singapore
As part of Phase 2 of Singapore’s circuit breaker measures, the Singapore Tourism Board permits 13 establishments to operate starting 1 July.

After nearly three months of inactivity in response to the pandemic, Singapore’s tourism sector takes a gradual step in reopening its doors with the Singapore Tourism Board at the helm.

Starting 1 July, the board has given the green light to 13 establishments to resume operations in stages as well as domestic tour operators to begin the application process for their resumption of business.

After careful assessment of proposals that include safety management measures, the board, together with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, has allowed the following tourist attractions to reopen:

– Bounce
– Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay
– Jurong Bird Park
– Madame Tussauds
– River Safari
– Singapore Zoo
– Zero Latency
– ArtScience Museum, Sands SkyPark and Observation Deck and Casino at Marina Bay Sands
– Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium and Casino at Resorts World Sentosa

The announcement was made through an official press release, on the board’s official website.

In a statement, Mr Keith Tan, Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board, said: “…STB’s key priority will be to ensure that tourism businesses can provide a safe and enjoyable experience for their guests and visitors. While it will be some time before Singapore can fully welcome international visitors, we hope Singaporeans and residents of Singapore will enjoy what our tourism businesses have to offer, in a socially responsible way.”

The board is also reassuring the public that more tourism businesses will apply for the SG Clean certification, a mark of excellence for high standards of cleaning, hygiene, and sanitation.
